The new EU representative action and the digital marketplace: A new era for collective redress?

Dr Eleni  Kaprou is a lecturer in Commercial Law in Brunel University since July 2018. Prior to that she was a postdoc researcher in Cardiff University in an ERC project on EU law and Governance. Eleni received her PhD in 2018 from the University of Nottingham. The title of her thesis was Aggressive Practices in the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive: How to protect the vulnerable consumer. Eleni’s thesis also received the 2018 DJ Harris award for best thesis in law. Eleni’s interests lay in European private law and in particular European consumer law. Her current work focuses on the impact of new technologies on vulnerable subjects.
